January in pictures

January. The month of the new year, new me. Well, I didn’t really have any resolutions this year I just kind of went into 2018 thinking about all the things I already do that make me happy and the intention to keep doing them. So...I’m sad to say I’ve seen the inside of the treats cupboard more times than I care to admit.

This January, things changed for the Wilko household, after a really tricky time adjusting going back to work I decided that my family had to come first. I’m in a new season of life right now and that’s something that I’ve come to realise and accept whole heartedly. So I made some really important life choices. Choices that mean I have more time with my family, but most importantly, quality time with them that matters and counts and justifies everything.

As a family, we’ve always tried to make the most of any days off we have together, our weekends and our free time. We love to adventure. We would LOVE to travel more, but ya know - money. So as always, Mr Jenandcub and I always look for somewhere to go at weekends and ways to fill our time off together.
January was good to us, it’s fair to say the bad weather doesn’t stop us.
We’ve had trips to the beach in the snow, walks in the woods but most excitingly this month my baby learnt to walk and we went for our first (of many) adventures around the Bail in Lincoln. I also got to take Caleb back to my ‘home’ - Newcastle, we went to stay with my friend who is expecting her first baby in a few weeks!! So excited for her, she will be a fantastic mummy ☺️

Here’s our January round up in photos... I can’t wait to see what February has in store!
