Dare to adventure

So I got one of those spur of the moment 'lets go hiking' feels (not a thing?!) on the Thursday and by the Friday we found ourselves en route to the Peak District with a poorly packed picnic and a map we'd screen shot taken straight off of Pinterest. Because if it doesn't look good on Pinterest would you even go?!

So along with our poorly packed picnic we had the essentials; sunscreen - check, trainers - check, camera - well duh, have you met me- check, rain coats for the impending rain? No. It chucked it down all the way there so we made an emergency raincoat purchase on the way.

Needless to say, it didn't rain once on our walk.

We followed our screen shot map because there was no signal on our phones and walked for a good hour when suddenly Tom had a niggle we weren't going in the right direction. Pity he hadn't thought that at the very beginning. So there we were in our pointless rain jackets, walking the wrong way but having the best time. Quality-no phones-sleeping baby- time. There wasn't a soul in sight and it was bliss.

I highly recommend the 'lets go hiking - yolo' but perhaps do it better than us!

  1. It looks so beautiful where you went! I've just bought a baby carrier and I want to start going out into the country more with Ru, it's just a shame all the warm weather has disappeared!! xx
