Shopping for my baby goes a little something like this. 'He's got enough in the wardrobe to last him'.
'But he is growing at a rate of knots'
'I'll just see what's in the shops'
'Oops how did that all jump in my basket?!'
I've always been terrible for walking through shops and stopping to obsess over all the baby clothes and now I have a baby to buy for it's unlikely I'll walk out empty handed. I love buying Caleb new bits for him to wear what mum doesn't?! Mostly he needs them because he grows so quickly and then there are the items that just couldn't be left in the shop because - CUTE.
I often get asked where things are from but the truth is we shop anywhere! I'm always after a bargain for everyday wear so we pick up vests and sleepsuits from Tesco or Sainsbury's. I find sleepsuits hard work because Caleb need his hands covering because he scratches his head when he's tired. Not many places have built in mits past 3 months but I've recently found some inNext and Tesco - next are slightly dearer but good quality when you wash so frequently.
Sainsbury's I find the mits don't stay over his hands for some reason. Please let me know if you've found any!!
I'm also obsessed withGap Baby for their neutral tones and gorgeous materials. I just love the knitted jumper we got from there.
Other places I shop in -
But this Easter how could I not take a trillion photos of my baby wearing this...
I'm really into supporting small brands when I can but let's be honest maternity pay isn't exactly generous so it's hard to justify these purchases to Mr JenandCub. However the bunny suit he just couldn't say no to and then I came across the most gorgeous shop called Love Roo which make thesehandmade soft bunny shoes you have EVER SEEN. Like, literally, all the heart eye emojis. I waited for an an acceptable reason to buy them - Easter was the perfect reason. You can get a pair custom made too with some of the most beautiful fabrics and prints. I'm already debating over which pair to get next!
Happy shopping mamas!
